Just in time for gift knitting... a new scarf pattern! Hidden Gem Scarf is a luxurious little scarf requiring just a single skein of laceweight yarn. The sample is worked in qiviut, yarn spun from muskox fibre, which is incredibly light yet delivers exceptional warmth and softness.
I've just released the pattern for Pebbled Pathways Fingerless Mitts. These fingerless mitts feature a lovely knotted cable pattern interacting with basic ribbing. The resulting fabric is close-fitting yet comfortable. The stretchy fabric will accommodate a variety of hand sizes although fit can be further adjusted by changing needle size.
Introducing a new hat pattern... Backwoods Hat! This casual unisex hat features staggered layers of ribbing intended to provide extra warmth over the top of the ears. The ribbed borders are worked separately and then joined together before working the body of the hat in stockinette.
This hat is intended to be worn with negative ease and pulled down so that the double layer of ribbing covers the top of the ears. My model claims that he might actually wear this hat! I'm hoping that the matching one that I made for myself in burgundy and beige will fit under my snowmobile helmet.
